Maternity Photography
The body that is becoming a home
There is a particular kind of softness that lives in a pregnant body. A weight, a glow, a quiet presence, like you're holding a secret that's also somehow the entire world.
Maternity photography, done well, doesn't just document a belly. It documents a woman in one of the most transformative seasons of her life and gives her something to look at, years from now, when she needs to remember how powerful she was.
The experience
What a session with me looks like
Most of my clients come to me between 28 and 34 weeks, far enough along that you feel beautifully pregnant, not so close to the end that comfort becomes a challenge.
Sessions take place in my Bay Area studio with controlled light and a curated wardrobe of gowns and fabrics, or outdoors at one of my favorite Bay Area locations (Marin Headlands, Sutro Baths, Lands End, Crissy Field).
Partners and older children are welcome. Some of my favorite frames have come from a toddler kissing a belly mid-session.

Wardrobe
You don't have to figure this out alone
My studio has a curated maternity wardrobe, flowing gowns, neutral fabrics, fitted dresses in sizes designed to flatter pregnant bodies. We'll plan your wardrobe together during your pre-session styling consultation.
If you prefer to wear your own clothes, I'll guide you toward palettes and silhouettes that photograph beautifully.
When to book
Reserve your session in your second trimester
My calendar fills 3-4 months in advance, particularly during golden-hour months (April-October). Book your maternity session by 20-24 weeks to ensure availability.
If you're already further along, reach out anyway. I keep a small number of last-minute slots when my schedule allows.
Better together
Maternity + Newborn
Most of my maternity clients also book their newborn session with me. Photographing the same family across both moments creates a visual story that one session alone can't tell.
Ask about my Maternity + Newborn Collection when you inquire.
