Newborn Photography
Tiny fingers. Sleeping breath. The first ten days.
There is no other version of your baby quite like the newborn version.
The curl of their body, still folded from the womb. The way they sleep with their hands tucked under their chin. The miniature toes, the soft cheeks, the precise weight of them. All of it lasts for less than two weeks before changing forever.
My newborn sessions are designed to hold those days still, gently and safely, in images you'll come back to for the rest of your life.
The studio
A space built for babies
My Bay Area studio is fully prepared to receive your baby and your family. The space is kept warm (around 80°F, newborns sleep better there), softly lit, and stocked with everything we'll need: hand-knit wraps, hand-made outfits, neutral textures, beautiful props.
You don't need to bring a single thing for your baby. Just yourselves.
Sessions last 2-3 hours. We move at the baby's pace, feeding when they're hungry, soothing when they need it, photographing when they're content. There is no rush, ever.

Safety first
Your baby's safety, before everything
Every pose I use is studied and tested. Many of the iconic 'baby in a basket' images you see online are composites, two photographs blended together, with a parent's hand supporting the baby in one of them. I use that same standard. I never put a newborn in any position they couldn't safely hold on their own.
All wraps, fabrics, and props are cleaned between sessions. Hands are washed constantly. The studio is kept impeccably clean. If your baby is uncomfortable at any point, we stop, soothe, and continue when they're ready.
Lifestyle option
Or, if you prefer, lifestyle
Not every family wants a posed studio session, and that's wonderful, because I also offer newborn lifestyle photography. These sessions can take place in your home or in my studio with a more candid, in-the-moment feel.
If you're not sure which direction is right for your family, we'll talk about it during your consultation.
When to book
Reserve your session in your second trimester
Newborn sessions are scheduled around your due date. Most happen between 5 and 14 days after baby arrives, when babies still curl into those classic newborn poses and sleep deeply enough to be photographed peacefully.
Because of this narrow window, I limit how many newborn sessions I take each month. Reach out by your second trimester to secure your spot.
Limited availability
I take only 4-5 newborn sessions per month, to ensure each family receives my full attention and care.
